Owl Conservation Network cultivates mutually
beneficial relationships for the betterment of burrowing owls,
wildlife, habitats and conservation action. And through our
collaborations and network, we have been able to achieve success in
a variety of project areas and garner assistance in spreading
information about the plight of the western burrowing owl.
WildCare
Bay Area is a wildlife rehabilitation hospital in Marin County work
to make sure all species can coexist-- not just by treating sick or
injured animals (over 3,000 of them a year), but also by teaching
people how to live peacefully with wildlife and by advocating for
better protection of wildlife and our remaining open spaces.
Worth
A Dam is dedicated to Maintaining the Martinez Beavers in Alhambra
Creek through responsible stewardship, creative problem solving,
community involvement, and education.
Burrowing Owl Preservation Society
Burrowing Owl Preservation Society's mission is to increase Burrowing Owl populations through research, education, and the protection, preservation and enhancement of Burrowing Owl's grassland habitat.
Golden
Gate Audubon is dedicated to protecting Bay Area birds, other
wildlife, and their natural habitats. We conserve and restore
wildlife habitats, connect people of all ages and backgrounds with
the natural world, and educate and engage Bay Area residents in the
protection of our shared, local environment.
CESP
has been working to protect open space and establish a park along
the East Bay shoreline through advocacy, outreach, and education
since 1985. Over a period of 20 years, area residents and
organizations have fought to preserve 1800 acres of open space in
one of our nation's most densely populated urban regions.
Wild
At Heart is a rehabilitation center with expertise in the rescuing
and caring of raptors, averaging from 400 to 600 owls, hawks and
falcons. In addition, many songbirds, quail, baby rabbits and other
critters come their way for temporary care until they can be
transferred to other rehabbers specializing in those species. Wild
At Heart is an expert in the relocation of burrowing owls and leads
the way in innovative solutions upon which Burrowing Owl
Conservation Network intends to mirror in California.
